FAQs
Here are the most frequently asked questions about our products.
Q: What does the OBDGenie programmer do?
A: When you install a new feature into your vehicle, such as a rearview camera,
trailer brake controller or power folding mirrors, you must program your
vehicle's computer to activate the feature. The OBDGenie programmer does
this for you, so you can skip the dealership.
Q: What is a Bypass Module, and do I need one?
A: Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM vehicles models 2018 and above
are built with a device called a security gateway.
This protects your vehicle's computer from being hacked over the cellular network.
In order to activate a new feature,
you will need to temporarily install the Bypass Device while using the OBDGenie
programmer. View the bypass installation guide here.
Q: After I use my OBDGenie, can I use it in another vehicle?
A: The OBDGenie can only be used in one vehicle as it is dedicated to a single
vehicle's VIN number for life. If you deactivate the feature you programmed, you
can re-activate it again anytime with your OBDGenie. We offer discounts on
orders with multiple programmers. To purchase more than one device, please
reach out to support@obdgenie.com.
Q: Is there a warranty on my purchase?
A: Absolutely! We offer a 30 day money-back warranty on all of our
products. In the rare event you have an issue, please contact us via email
support@obdgenie.com or call 321-250-3650.
Q: What type of shipping options do you offer?
A: We offer free shipping for delivery within 3-5 business days.
For expedited shipping, we offer $7.99 USPS Priority mail (1-3 business days) and $59.99 FedEx Overnight shipping.
